Great Opportunities
Volunteers are needed to wear many hats at the festival. One type of position we need to staff is our educational booths where you get to interact with the public, including kids.
There are eight educational booths. Topics include:
1. Glare & safety
2. Light trespass
3. Smarter lighting to save money
4. Health effects
5. Pollinator effects
6. Patch program for children of all ages
7. The Globe at Night citizen science program
8. Be A Star award program for any property
These booths will be active for seven hours on Saturday, March 30th. Shifts for manning the booths will run for 3 1/2 hours each. Training prior to the festival consists of learning the talking points—and in some cases familiarizing yourself with demonstration models. Training times are flexible and are worked out between the volunteer and the lead for the booth you pick to staff.
If working at the booths is not for you, consider one of the many jobs listed on our Sign Up sheet.
